AND WHEN THE PEOPLE COMPLAINED, IT DISPLEASED THE LORD: and the Lord heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the Lord burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp. Numbers 11:1. “Complain”, 1. To express feelings of pain, dissatisfaction, or resentment. 2. To make a formal accusation or bring a formal charge; file a complaint. Wow, aren’t we glad we’re in a time of grace and God doesn’t kill us for our little “not happy with” things! Actually, God is being VERY Gracious and Merciful in His Patience with us as He is Teaching us to not complain, gripe, or grumble. God doesn’t change, He still hates complaining, and if someone insists on continuing to complain, as the time WILL come when the Lord’s Patience WILL run out. Let’s dig hard and deep here. The truth is, (unless you’re talking straight TO the Lord), WE REALLY HAVE NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT ANYTHING, EVER!!! Sinners, (goats), will never follow Christ, will die in their sins, and will go to Hell. But Christians, on the other hand, should learn to never complain. For us, the Followers of Christ, the Lord has charge of, directs, and even micro – manages EVERY single aspect of our lives. EVERYTHING is designed to draw us to Christ and away from sin, EVERYTHING!!! If that’s True, than any complaint is really “kicking against the pricks”. Everything we can gripe about, is coming straight from the Lord’s Hand directly to us, so on what basis or reasoning can we complain about ANYTHING. When you Talk to the Lord directly, about your burdens, prayer needs, and the like, that’s what we’re supposed to do, TALK TO HIM ABOUT EVERYTHING. And when the Lord answers you, Obey Him, and move on. Take EVERYTHING in your Life as from the Lord. TALK to Him about it all. Let it ALL build you up in Christ and help you hear the Leading of the Holy Spirit as you Grow in Obedience and CHRISTLIKENESS, that you then will, Be Blessed.
