Daily Devotional – MORNINGTIME 1481

Daily Devotional. How then shall they call on him, (Christ), in whom they have not believed? Romans 10:14. Every single person on this earth started out as a walking dead man, a sinner condemned to Hell. Basically, we are all going to die. We were all blinded and had no idea of the Truth. Only by a most Gracious Act of the Lord does one “get saved”. Don’t misunderstand, the Holy Spirit will call each and every person into Salvation. The problem is that most will put off the Call and tell themselves, it’s ok, I’ll get right with the Lord, later. I’m too busy right now, we’ll talk later. And whatever other excuses we can come up with. No matter how grand and glorious the excuse, each person knows just enough Truth to be able to stand before a Holy God and admit, “Yes Lord, I knew that was You, I just chose not to listen to Your call for me to come to You. Now I will spend Eternity away from you”. It is such a simple call, easier than any and all other religions out there. It’s a, come as you are, lay it all at His Feet, take up your Cross and follow Christ, call. Don’t bring anything with you, He will even give you the Faith to start this journey. It is as simple as that. Too simple for most people. Man wants to DO something in order to feel like he can now come before the Lord. And what a list of “something’s” man wants to do. God has done it all, we can add nothing to be able to come into His Presence. Just us, with His Faith, as simple as that. His Righteousness, given to us, is Perfect and Complete. Anything we want to add, is pollution, and He’ll have none of it. This call to come to the Lord is as simple as it gets. Christ has done it all, we can add nothing to His Finished Work. So just come in empty handed, and, Be Blessed.
