Daily Devotional. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Romans 10:14-15. This is almost scary, thinking that if they don’t hear from a preacher they will die in their sins. I say NO, NO, A THOUSAND TIMES NO. A Preacher may be someone officially called by the Lord to Preach the Good News on a weekly basis. That’s good. But for this discussion, let’s look at Joe Sheep in the congregation. Joe Sheep is the usual, (?) run of the mill Believer with a serious love for the Lord. It’s hard to keep him quiet when talking about the Things of the Lord. So Joe goes through his normal everyday activities, work, family, church, etc. with a difference. He looks for opportunities to talk to other people and Fellowship about the Things of the Lord, or to encourage someone TO Christ and Salvation. He may drop a little “cookie bite” to see if someone is maybe interested, or he may talk about many Things of the Lord. Either way, he enjoys talking, encouraging, sharing, and praying for others to come to the same Saving Grace he found in the Lord. No, this is not a special calling, this is ANYBODY who considers themself a Christian. ALL Christians (in America) can do this. How many people do you talk to each day??? Is there room for the Lord in your conversation? You may just save them from an eternity in Hell, FOREVER. Did someone talk to you and you got saved? Can you do the same for someone else? I’m just talking about everyday conversation with someone, I’m not telling you you have to stand on the street corner for 6 hours to qualify. Just talk, and, Be Blessed.
