Daily Devotional. Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, (that) shall stand. Proverbs 19:20-21. Why it is blasphemy to stand before people and declare that a new covert IS A CHRISTIAN? We can’t know these things. He may be on the road to Salvation, and He may even die a Strong Man of Faith in Christ, to die as a Christian, but to declare that at the very beginning of a new converts walk, he IS a Christian? That puts you above God, you’re saying things about the future you have no right, authority, or information, to speak about. Have you even read a copy of “The Sinners Prayer” lately? It’s written by religious people for religious people to understand. But a brand new covert, repeating words he knows nothing about, because you tell him what he needs to say? He’s a parrot saying what you tell him to say. I’ll illustrate. Exactly what does it mean to say, “Jesus, come into my heart”, “Jesus died for my sins”, or, “Send me the Holy Spirit”? The new guy has no clue who the Holy Spirit is, or how some guy named Jesus can come into his heart. He’s repeating words. PREACH THE GOSPEL AND LEAVE HIM ALONE!!! When the Holy Spirit Convicts him of his sins, the Holy Spirit will give him the heart cry to ask Christ to Save him and it will be ALL in his own words. The cry of Repentance will SHOW you he’s on the road to Salvation, that the Holy Spirit is at work in a mighty way in the man’s life, and all we need to do is watch and listen. After the new covert has cried out with HIS sinner’s prayer, your work begins. Now he needs instruction, guidance, direction, help, encouraging, and prayer, from this day forward, all the days of his life. Why? Do any of us stop Growing? Know it all? Or never need to repent of anything ever again??? We are all being built together as The Body Of Christ. Be Built, Be Blessed.
