Daily Devotional. Get Wisdom, get Understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the Words of My Mouth. Forsake Her not, and She shall Preserve thee: Love Her, and She shall keep thee. Wisdom is the Principal Thing; therefore get Wisdom: and with all thy getting get Understanding. Proverbs 4:5-7. A True Witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies. In the fear of the LORD is Strong Confidence: and His children shall have a place of Refuge. The Fear of the LORD is a Fountain of Life, to depart from the snares of death. In the multitude of people is the King’s Honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince. He that is slow to wrath is of Great Understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. Proverbs 14:25-29. These verses are the set up for a question that we need to be slow to fast judgment and fast to Prayerfully consider all Aspects, and then, with great Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding, Ask the Lord for His Truth. As with all Truth, it’s important to recognize others opinions, beliefs and pet understandings. All “sides” of this Truth believe themselves to be right and all others to be wrong. Some who “know” they’re right have taken a hearsay and a verse or two and will stand on that “truth” to the day they die. Some will hear a Truth and not believe it from the start until they have personally studied the depths of the Scriptures, asking Christ for HIS Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding, and are then willing to cast aside all “truths” that don’t hold up to THE TRUTH as Christ Wrote it as He Intended it to be Understood. This is NOT a discussion on who is right and who is wrong, or if our “opponent” is Heaven Bound or not. There is No Judging here of other people’s Faith, Beliefs and opinions, but a Biblical Curiosity of Christlike Understanding of His Word. Only you, dear reader, can determine what is “hearsay” opinion and what is Solid Biblical Faith that will Solidly stand up to ALL scrutiny, that you may, Be Blessed.
