Daily Devotional. The LORD hath made all things for Himself: yea, EVEN THE WICKED for the Day of Evil. Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though Hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. By Mercy and Truth iniquity is purged: and by the Fear of the LORD men depart from evil. The highway of the Upright is to Depart from evil: he that keepeth His way preserveth his soul. He that handleth a matter Wisely shall find GOoD: and whoso Trusteth in the LORD, HAPPY IS HE. Proverbs 16:4-6,17,20. Right now, America is riding on the coattails of Great Blessings and Prosperity. And if you look throughout the Old Testament, just about every time the Lord was about to bring serious Judgment on a nation, peoples or land, He would usually send Prosperity and Blessings. This would be one last attempt to try to get the people to turn from their wicked ways and turn towards the Lord. Little trials, troubles, testing’s and tribulations falling on people were designed to show people they couldn’t “do it” themselves (the Right Way) and to Call on the Lord and ask for His Help. But if “Troubles” couldn’t bring people to the Lord, maybe exceedingly abundant Blessings would. Like today. But when Troubles, and Blessings BOTH don’t work, then serious Judgment would start. Believers then and Believers now would face Difficulties, AND THE LORD WOULD (WILL) WALK THROUGH THEM WITH THE PEOPLE, as He cleans out sin and iniquity from all those who will allow Him to do so. And those who STILL wouldn’t Listen, would fall into Great Difficulties, and even death, as the Lord “cleaned house” of sin and corruption”. This is ALL about Heart Attitude from the Lord’s Perspective. Man can look at man and think, “He’s alright”. But the Lord sees The Heart, and will Judge accordingly. Will you be one to Listen to that Still Small Voice as the Lord desires to free you from even the smallest of sins? Even those NOBODY but you knows about? He’ll be Gentle, AND Firm, that you may GREATLY, Be Blessed.
