Daily Devotional. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I AM OF Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:12. This was a problem back then and it’s still a problem today. Everybody wants to be known as a part of some group, some association, some denomination, some THING. Maybe a place, a philosophy, a way of thinking. Everyone has an answer of something when asked about their religion, beliefs, or theology. Most of the time there is some sort of name in the answer. The question is asked, “Where do you go to church”? The answer is usually a church etc. and that tells them you go to a place, even a specific location, a few times a week. So let’s go outside the box for a few minutes. “Where do you go to church”? “I am a part of the church and we gather together anywhere and anytime we can. Care to get a cup of coffee and we’ll talk about it”? This takes you, Christian, away from a specific time and place, and sets “church” right at their feet, here and now, ready for fellowship 24/7/365. This takes it from a generic polite question with the usual nonspecific answer of someday, somewhere, and makes it here and now. Does this sound aggressive? Does, “Yes, we will meet again in 4 days and only from 10 to12 noon”. Does that sound wimpy? This is not a formula to follow but an idea more towards, Let’s follow Christ, and be ready in season and out of season, any day, any hour, to share Christ with ANYONE, at their time and location. ONLY Christ is available ANY time of life. Everyone else locks doors and has certain hours to talk. I AM OF CHRIST, I KNOW HIM AND HE KNOWS ME, YES EVEN SATAN KNOWS ME, MAY I HAVE A MOMENT OF YOUR TIME SO THAT I CAN TELL YOU ABOUT CHRIST, THE LOVE OF MY LIFE??? How’s that for an introduction to someone you’ve never met before when they ask you, “What church do you go to”? It’s supposed to be all about Christ, put Him first and foremost. People will either reject you, or listen to you and, Be Blessed.
