Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 1965

Daily Devotional. SEEING HIS (man’s) DAYS ARE DETERMINED, the number of his months are with thee (the Lord), thou hast appointed his bounds (the number of man’s days) that he cannot pass; Job 14:5. Have you ever heard the expression, “He was cut down in the prime of his life”, with the understanding that a promising young man, (or woman), died way before they should have. They had a promising future ahead of them. They were in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was an innocent bystander, he never should have died like that. Some people believe that God has promised man a good 70 years of life, maybe even 80 years. They get that from, “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away”. Psalm 90:10. This is “it could be”, not, “a Promise”. The point is, God has determined every single person’s length of time on this earth. He doesn’t make mistakes and you will live as long as, or ONLY, as long as He has determined. Have you ever met someone who “cheated death” by living through a situation that surely looked like he should have died? He didn’t cheat anything. If it’s not your time, than no accident, disease, old age or gun can take you out. On the other hand, if you are a Perfect Specimen of Good Health, and the Lord says it’s time for you to Go Home, your days on this earth will quickly come to a screeching halt. The moment someone dies, it’s because the Lord said it’s their time. Not even Satan can take you out, UNLESS the Lord allows him to, take you out. If you Know the Lord, and He Knows you, love every day as if it were your last, always ready to go Home. If you don’t know the Lord, SEEK HIM QUICKLY WHILE YOU STILL CAN. You haven’t been Promised even enough time to finish this sentence ending with the words Be Bles……
