Daily Devotional. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Matthew 12:36-37. Just a little note of encouraging here, to be careful what we say during a 24 hour day, because all our words will come back to haunt us. If we talk about things that are not of the Lord, on That Day the Lord will ask us why we spent time taking about things we knew we should not be talking about. One hint, out of the heart the mouth speaks. Our heart attitudes will come out of our mouth. So take a day, listen to everything you say, and ask yourself if whatever was said today, is an indication of a bad heart attitude about something the Lord wants to deal with? If so, just ask the Lord to dig up and root out that attitude. He’s always ready to forgive, and straighten out a bad situation. It’s really the Grace of the Lord that allows us to listen to ourselves speak, connect our words to a good, or bad, heart attitude, and take it all to Him to ask for help to be rid of this bad attitude, BEFORE we will stand before Him as our Judge. Right now, this is our opportunity to clean up our verbal act before it gets serious on Judgment Day. We all start off as sinners, so let’s Grow towards CHRISTLIKENESS, that we may all, Be Blessed.
