Daily Devotional. O LORD, how long shall I cry, and Thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto Thee of violence, and Thou wilt not save! (The wicked are trying to take over America). Why dost Thou shew me (a Believer) (my) iniquity, and cause me to behold (Your) grievance (against the sin in my life)? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention (against me). Therefore the law is slacked, (not enforced), and (Righteous) Judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the Righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth. (Now the Lord speaks). “Behold ye (Righteous) among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a Work (in you) in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you. For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, (our political left), that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs. (Major protests in our colleges), (Black Lives Matter riots). They shall come all for violence: (“From the river to the sea”) their (many) faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand. And they shall scoff at the kings, (authority), and the princes (left leaning Judges) shall be a scorn unto them (who want to do right): they shall deride every strong hold (our Founding Documents); for they shall heap dust, and take it (to trample on our God Given Rights”). Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, THOU HAST ORDAINED THEM FOR JUDGMENT (against lax thinking and any remaining worldliness in Believers); AND, O MIGHTY GOD, THOU HAST ESTABLISHED THEM FOR (our) CORRECTION (to bring Believers into more CHRISTLIKENESS). Habakkuk 1:2-6,9-10,12. Sounds like the Lord is talking to Believers even today, trying to get our attention to change our ways. The Lord is using the unjust to bring correction to the Just, to get us “off the fence” and back to, Be Blessed.
