Daily Devotional. These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have Peace. In the world ye SHALL have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD. John 16:33. When a person comes to understand that he is a Hell-bound sinner whose only Hope is to Repent of his sins and ask Christ to now come and Dwell in him, that is exactly what Christ will do. And when He does come to Live in you, He brings with Him the Peace that is so Powerful, you really can’t explain it. What that means is you understand the rottenness and filth of the world all around you is still there, still all around you, BUT THAT FILTH NO LONGER FILLS YOU AND DRIVES YOU TO SIN. That sin nature is gone as Christ moving into you casts out the “natural” desire to sin. That “freedom” from sin brings a Refreshing Peace that is hard to explain to those around you. You can try to explain, or describe it, but the words you use don’t really “hit the nail on the head”. The lost people of the world CAN’T understand this new Peace you have, and Believers already understand what you’re now feeling even without you trying to explain it. PEACE IS JUST THERE AND YOU CAN’T REALLY EXPLAIN WHY. And that’s OK, just enjoy this new Peace within you, and keep on Learning about this new Life in Christ. Understand, the “sin nature”, the “drive” to sin, is gone, but Satan, your adversary, will still come to try to OFFER you something your flesh wants, AS CHRIST IN YOU WILL GIVE YOU THE ABILITY TO SAY NO TO THAT TEMPTATION. In Christ, you are now free of satanic Control, as you now Victoriously can “just say no” to the Satanic Influence that no longer has a hold on you. That Knowledge is all wrapped up in such Joy and Peace that the desire to sin no longer controls you. Yes, there will always be a temptation TO sin, but Christ in you has beaten that temptation for you so that you can turn and walk away from that temptation.
