Daily Devotional. And unto one (servant) He (the Master of the house) gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same (5 talents), and made them other five talents. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the Joy of thy Lord. Matthew 25:15-16,19-21. This also is another GOoD example of “Exponential Increase. The servant is happy to have a provided roof over his head, a little happier to have a job serving a Master, and in this case, serving one he enjoyed working for. Still more Joy to find his Master has enough Confidence in him to entrust with him some of his Master’s money, and even More Joy that he was able to double his Investment with the Master’s money, and then there was EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANT JOY when His Master publicly Praised him for doing very well with his Investment Strategy. And finally, most of all, HE BROUGHT EVEN MORE JOY TO HIS MASTER AND HIS MASTER TURNED AROUND AND SHARED THAT JOY WITH HIS SERVANT. THAT, my friend, is an Exponential Increase of the Highest Order. The MASTERS Joy may have been for many reasons, yet He shared that Joy with His servant. Your Obedience in even the smallest of things will ultimately bring Great Joy to ALL when all these little things combine to Accomplish a much Greater Purpose. Here on this Side we can’t yet see all the Lord’s behind the scenes purposes, but rest assured, when we get Over There and see the whole picture, we will be sad we didn’t Obey more, and glad we did obey, to, Be Blessed.
