Daily Devotional. Beloved, think it not strange concerning the Fiery Trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: BUT REJOICE, INASMUCH AS YE ARE PARTAKERS OF CHRIST’S SUFFERINGS; that, when His Glory shall be revealed, YE MAY BE GLAD ALSO WITH EXCEEDING JOY. Wherefore let them that suffer according to the Will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as unto a Faithful Creator. 1 Peter 4:12-13,19. (Christ) was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His Mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, SO HE OPENETH NOT HIS MOUTH. Isaiah 53:7. Thinkest thou that I (Jesus) cannot now pray to My Father, and He shall presently give me more than twelve legions of (72,000) angels? Matthew 26:53. Christ stayed on planet Earth to Save men. He did not look for a “way out.” When our time comes to each one of us to face the worst that man has to offer, wouldn’t it be GOoD to stay and still Preach Christ to those lost souls around us, even to the very end??? If you could influence 10 people to come to Christ and Be Saved just before your hard death, would you stay and Preach Christ anyway? Or do you really want to “bail out” before you “get hurt” by mean men? Christ is our example to “stay”, who is our example to “run for cover” so we don’t get hurt as God Himself is Calling ALL men to come to Christ in Repentance unto Salvation. Someone needs to stay, will it be you or someone else as you try to save your own skin from hurt and harm. Is you Attitude towards the Lost like Christ, or like man? The day is coming when you will die. On that day, will you be found Preaching Christ, or running with man to some kind of “safety”? Yes, these are hard questions, but someone has to ask them. It all boils down to, “stay and fight for Christ”, or leave that to others as you’re looking for the closest exit to “safety”, and explain to the Prophets of Old why you wanted to “cut and run”, to, Be Blessed??
