Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3936

Daily Devotional. WATCH THEREFORE: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Therefore BE ye also READY: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a Faithful and Wise servant, whom his Lord hath made ruler over His household, to give them (the members and other servants of the household) meat (Food and provisions) in due season? BLESSED IS THAT SERVANT, whom his Lord when He cometh shall find SO DOING. Matthew 24:42,44-46. This almost sounds like a contradiction; on one hand the servant is constantly standing at the window watching for the Master’s return. Another servant is so busy about keeping the household running smoothly, he is surprised when his Master does return. Many times, throughout “christian” history people have quit their jobs and sold everything expecting Christ to come back on the day the “prophet” told them He was coming. Many became disillusioned by this “failure” and quit church altogether. Others became so preoccupied with just trying to live life they never made any provisions for the future, (they never got “Saved”), and they died in their sins, never expecting the Master to actually show up. In this case, Be a middle of the road person. Be ready for the Master’s Return by being “Saved” and Obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit, AND, at the same time be going throughout the Household Providing all the “sustenance” others need for them to also come to Christ in Repentance unto Salvation. Tell them (those of the world) about Christ and His Provision of Salvation and give them all the information and examples to then live the servant’s life of ministering Christ to others, while at the same time keeping an ear out listening for the Call from the Master. We’re doing two things at once. We’re keeping an ear out for His Call and Serving others to teach them to also listen for His Call. As we Listen, and Serve others, we’ll get them both right as we Present to Christ the Saved Fruits of our Labors, and Meet Him to, Be Blessed.
