Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3507

Daily Devotional. And Jesus answered and said unto them, TAKE HEED THAT NO MAN DECEIVE YOU. FOR MANY SHALL come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall DECEIVE MANY. Matthew 24:4-5. And many FALSE PROPHETS SHALL rise, and shall DECEIVE MANY. Matthew 24:11. Many people today run to and fro going from place to place looking to get something from someone who claims THEY know Christ, and for a “love offering”, will share THEIR knowledge OF Christ, with you. It may be a cruise with “Dr. So and so and his team of teachers” going to faraway places TO GET CLOSE TO CHRIST. Yes, even during these huckster times, THE WORD WILL NOT RETURN VOID, so yes, you’ll get a momentary blessing, and later have only a memory of a good time with Jesus. (Get the concept here, not legalism). Even MOST crusades, camp meetings, and festivals ARE ALL SECOND-RATE MEMORIES OF A CLOSE ENCOUNTER OF A GOD KIND. Yes, I’m picking here, but NONE OF THESE THINGS WILL SATISFY LIKE YOU SITTING DOWN WITH YOUR BIBLE, STUDYING THE WORD, SEEKING HIS FACE, AND FELLOW-SHIPPING WITH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF, FROM HIS HEART TO YOURS. No money spent to do this. Wherever and however you “got saved” is a GOoD start, but to Grow in Christ is with you and Him. Yes, don’t forsake the gathering of the Believers, BUT LEAVE YOUR MONEY AT HOME. Tithe to your local body of Believers, Encourage one another, Pray unceasingly, help cover the local needs, LOCALLY. As money gets “tight” and travel “to find Jesus” gets less, Christ Himself calls out, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”. Matthew 11:28. No travel required. Just you and Jesus, right where you are, He is with you always. GIVE your money to Christ, don’t SPEND it to chase AFTER Christ. HE’S RIGHT HERE, WITH YOU NOW, in your mansion or in your jail cell, no travel required. STUDY HIS WORD, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you”. James 4:8. Again, as Christ Blesses you, Bless the local Body, and Eternally, Be Blessed.
