Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 1963

Daily Devotional. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. Revelation 18:3. This is a city of great sin, death and destruction. It is exceedingly vile and all wrapped up in self-love. Later, God calls one last time for His People to leave town and never go back. So why does God even allow His People to ever be in this town, and others something like it? TO TRAIN US, DIRECT US, AND GROW IS IN CHRIST. For the time being, we’ll never be in a place of no sin. And that’s actually a good thing. Here’s an illustration. You buy a house way out in the country with neighbors miles apart. Slowly, the City keeps moving closer and closer to you until finally, you’re in a neighborhood of 1/4 acre house lots. You haven’t changed, but the city came to you. This is how sin works. You become a Christian and for a time, the Lord allows you to feel a Freedom in Christ you’ve never had before. Slowly, the Lord allows sin to start creeping your way so YOU can see how you are going to deal with it. He already Knows. Will you join in, or will you call out to the Lord to ask Him how to handle the sin and people trying to close in on you. Yes, the Lord will take care of you, as He’s teaching you how to handle and Overcome Sin. As you grow stronger in Christ, sin grows weaker around you. We will never (here) escape sin, but we can learn how to Live In Christ with sin all around us. And to Live a Victorious Life to share with others around us. Yes, there may come a time when the Lord says, “Time to move and leave town”, so move, pull up stakes and go. We have to deal with sin here, so that we will know how to deal with sin as we walk Victorious in Christ. Besides, others are watching, are they learning Victory from you? Grow where you’re planted, transplant as directed, and, Be Blessed.
