Daily Devotional. Then if any man shall say unto you, LO, HERE IS CHRIST, OR THERE; BELIEVE IT NOT. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Matthew 24:23-24. Read this very carefully. This is a warning about where Christ can be found. If a Pastor, or Teacher, or a fellow Joe Sheeper comes to you and tells you, “We have found the Christ, He is over at this church”, or, “He’s speaking at the big coliseum”, or ANY place else, YOU WILL BE CHASING A FALSE CHRIST. Christ will never be at a place, you can never go to Him by some car or bus, HE CAN NEVER BE FOUND BY EYE, the human eye can’t see Christ at some place to go to. He is in your Heart, your core being, speaking to your spirit by His Holy Spirit. If you have to go chase down Christ at some place, think about it, does that mean someone confined to a sick bed for the rest of their life, can’t find Christ and get saved because he can’t go TO Christ? Or do you say, “Oh, Christ can be received into that bedridden guys heart, he just has to GO someplace to hear whatever Christ wants to tell him”. One idea is just as foolish as the other. Read it again, Go here, Go there, BELIEVE IT NOT!!! God said it, not me. Christ is no WHERE to be found, He’s INSIDE a Christian. If He’s not in you and with you, and you are not in Him and with Him, YOU’RE LOST. If He’s not closer to you than the air you breath, YOU’RE STILL LOST. Only by crying out in Faith, for Christ to Save you, by Faith, can you learn to Live in Faith. It’s not a physical place you can go to, it’s a Spiritual Place that comes to YOU. It’s ALL a work of, and in, The Spirit. 2000 years ago Christ physically called people to Himself. He’s now in Heaven and everything He does is a Work of The Spirit. Chase Christ through the pages of the Bible. Let the deceived chase after some false christ, over there. They’re on a wild goose chase. Be grounded, Be Blessed.
