Daily Devotional – MORNINGTIME 1465

Daily Devotional. And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them (the prophets of Baal), and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them. 1 Kings 18:27-28. This is an extreme example of man trying to please a god of his own making, and even then, man can’t get it right. And he never will. When man creates a god he likes, man still puts impossible goals to reach through his little god. Little man made gods can do nothing at all, man has to do it all. Man-made gods (in America) today tell you what you can and can’t eat, who, or even if, you can marry, and what you have to do for works to please them. Bow to a dead person, bow to a live person, it doesn’t matter, just bow to someone. Walk on your knees until you draw blood, lots of little gods like blood. Kill people you don’t like, some little god makes a good excuse to do in your neighbor. You can really get to know a man when you get to know his god. (Read this carefully) Man will use anything, as any excuse, to do what is really in His heart. And blaming his actions on a little god is about the best excuse out there. The God of the Bible requires us to follow Him AFTER we fess up to our own accountability for our own sins against man and God. No excuses, GUILTY. Without that, you’re a walking dead man on your way to Hell with all your little gods of nothing. The God of the Bible WILL open blinded eyes to see, and to see Truth, if you will but ask. So ask, and Be Blessed.
