Daily Devotional. And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having Great Power; and the earth was lightened with His Glory. And He cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, SIN * THE GREAT IS FALLEN, IS FALLEN, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the Wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another Voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, AND THAT YE RECEIVE NOT OF HER PLAGUES. Revelation 18:1-4. (Please read AS an illustration of Sin). *SIN* equals by definition; “A transgression of a religious or moral law, especially when deliberate. A. Deliberate disobedience to the Known Will of God. B. A condition of estrangement from God resulting from such disobedience. Something regarded as being shameful, deplorable, or utterly wrong”. Sin also encompasses worldly desires, lust, greed, selfishness, love of money, love of pleasures and love of things, MORE THAN THE LOVE OF GOD. Sin is also a Heart Attitude that comes easily to fallen man AND the unwary Believer. Sin OWNS a lost person and Sin TRIES TO (illegally) OWN a Believer, at least until the Believer recognizes his Place in Christ and sends Sin scurrying away. As the days grow darker, SIN, with its partners Disobedience, Pride, Arrogance and Haughtiness, prowl around AS a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Sin is everywhere and will offer anything and everything to draw anyone away from Christ’s Gift of Salvation AND to TRY to draw the Believe away from MORE Faith in Christ. “Come out of her my people”, is THE CALL of Christ to all lost AND saved people, and to come into the unfathomable Peace and Joy that Obedience to Christ has to offer. Reject Sin TODAY and GREATLY, Be Blessed.
