Daily Devotional. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, IF YE CONTINUE IN MY WORD, THEN are ye My Disciples INDEED; And ye shall Know The Truth, and The Truth shall make you Free. John 8:31-32. Before you can Continue in something, you need basic information that that something is worth your time to continue looking into and possibly apply a Value to it as worth, or WELL worth moving on with. If you go to a sales presentation, you’re going with the understanding that there MAY be something of value here, and you want to further “check it out” to see if that Value is worth it or not. That Godly DNA in you, (especially lost people), is that information, “Maybe there is something to this, I’ll go check it out to see if this is worth investing in”. No commitment, just doing research. “Then said Jesus to those Jews”, these are people who have answered the DNA Call to at least listen to the Truth and start asking questions. No commitment. “IF YE CONTINUE IN MY WORD”, now these “investigators” are listening to Christ and are on the edge of accepting His Offer (of Repentance unto Salvation) or rejecting it and walking away. Maybe so, maybe no, Commitment. But to those who actually DO decide to go all out and Commit Fully to Christ, “THEN are ye My Disciples INDEED”; they have gone the next step from Knowing and Hearing, to actually DOING something about what they have seen and heard. They are now 100% Sold out to Christ and Walking WITH Him through Life, not necessarily knowing how or where things will go day by day, BUT TRUSTING CHRIST THAT HE KNOWS, and that’s GOoD enough for them. ALL know, (DNA), some hear (the Call), but very few actually Act and Do the Work of Walking with Christ all the rest of their Lives here on Earth. Those “SOLD OUT” will never look back, Heaven Bound. Those who are just “trying out” Christ, to see if He’s a good fit or not, will “look back” to compare, “Is this really worth what I will be giving up”? , and may very possibly NEVER, Be Blessed.
