Daily Devotional. For the LORD giveth Wisdom: out of His Mouth cometh Knowledge and Understanding. Proverbs 2:6. Wisdom Crieth without; She Uttereth her Voice in the streets: She Crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city She Uttereth Her Words, saying, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate Knowledge? Proverbs 1:20-22. Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this (physical) water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the (spiritual) Water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the Water that I shall give him shall be in him a Well of Water SPRINGING UP INTO EVERLASTING LIFE. John 4:13-14. If you put sand, pebbles and rocks to the top of a jar, full, and that slowly pour in water, the water will seep down and cover every grain of sand, pebbles and rocks, in the jar. The Knowledge of God instilled in every man, woman’s and child’s Heart is that Spiritual Water that will cover the “Rock Hardness” of a persons Heart. That’s enough to Be Saved. Each time a person hears something from or about The Word, it’s like a hammer hitting a piece of sand, pebble or rock (resistance to hearing The Word), and breaking down that “resistance” until they Joyfully WANT to Hear about Christ and Be Saved. That’s the part we can see and rejoice over, one coming to Christ after hearing the Water of The Word. No matter how much “resistance” your faith, religion or doctrine has against Christ, His Word WILL penetrate and break down that resistance. And yet, even after Hearing, Knowing and Understanding The Word, some bearers will STILL say “NO” to Christ, and die in their sins. Then only Hell awaits this Christless person. The Holy Spirit IS Enough but our “hammering away” on a lost person, and them eventually (?) coming to Christ is a Kindness of the Lord allowing us to “see” them change from resistance to accepting of Christ.
