Daily Devotional. Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the LORD see it, and it displease Him, and He turn away His Wrath from him. Proverbs 24:17-18. It’s been reported that Iran’s supreme leader Khomeini has killed 80,000 of his own citizens for protesting against Khomeini’s killing of his own citizens. Many say he is a brutal dictator who must be stopped. If he is “taken out” and killed, will there be rejoicing in the streets that a very wicked man has been stopped from further killing? Will anyone weep for the (possible) death of this man? Will any Christians rejoice if Khomeini is killed? Will any Christian weep because another lost Soul has died in his sins and gone to Hell for all of Eternity? “Rejoice NOT when thine enemy falleth,” because that sinner was YOU before you found Christ. Maybe you haven’t killed 80,000 people, but before Christ, YOU WERE JUST AS BAD A SINNER AS KHOMEINI. We judge sinners by what we see, God Judges sinners by their Heart Attitude towards Christ. Only by sheer Mercy and Grace were you saved. How long did you fight the Lord before you finally came to Christ in Repentance unto Salvation? EVERY (wo)man is Offered Christ before they die, will you Rejoice if Khomeini becomes a True Believer even moments before he dies? If he gets Saved, could you Rejoice and truly call him your Brother in the Lord, and be glad the same Forgiveness Christ offered you was offered to him? If you’re a Believer, Rejoice in ALL who come to Christ. If you’re still Lost in your sins, your Eternal Damnation will be just the same as Khomeini’s if you and he don’t come to Christ. Don’t worry about how “bad” Khomeini is, without Christ, YOU’RE HIS EQUAL, and that should terrorize you to your very core. Believers AND Lost, EXAMINE YOURSELF, Salvation is all about Heart Attitude, NOT visual appearances. Let’s say Khomeini gets Saved, and you don’t, that would make you a “worse off sinner” than him, and HE would, Be Blessed??????
