Daily Devotional. When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it. The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it. An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked. Proverbs 29:2,4,7,27. We see all these verses at work in governments around the world, even today. Righteousness anywhere brings the Lord’s Blessings. Unrighteousness brings the Lord’s cursing’s. When the “king” is Blessed, or cursed, it will trickle down to the local people and they will be happy, or sad, accordingly. (Think of America today). If the people start to turn away from the Lord, the Lord will bring some Judgment in the hopes the people will turn back to Him. Many times, in the Bible, the Lord will bring Great Mercy and Grace to an undeserving people as one last attempt to “Bless them back” to Him. If THAT doesn’t work, THEN GREAT JUDGMENT FALLS. Look at just before Noah’s flood and, Sodom and Gomorrah. One last Prosperity, then Judgment. America is being offered one last time of Blessing, to Call us all back to God, and if we won’t listen as a nation, we’re headed for seriously hard times. No matter what happens, the Lord WILL take care of His People, (Believers), even while they suffer some of the Wrath of the Lord going on around them. Many believe the Book of Revelation is about to break forth in all its fury AGAINST SIN AND UNGODLINESS. The Righteous WILL be kept secure in their Walk with Christ, even while they may suffer physically. We are not exempt from pain and suffering, but with Christ Walking beside us, WE WILL ENDURE HARDSHIPS, even while the Lord is STILL Calling “all who will”, to Christ. That Call will continue throughout ALL the Book of Revelation, even to the very end of all things. Hardships AND Mercy & Grace, what a Way to Greatly, Be Blessed.
