Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 4907

Daily Devotional. And the LORD said unto Moses, DEPART, AND GO UP HENCE, (to the Promised Land), THOU AND THE PEOPLE which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, UNTO THE LAND WHICH I SWARE unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, UNTO THY SEED WILL I GIVE IT: And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite: Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: FOR I WILL NOT GO UP IN THE MIDST OF THEE; FOR THOU ART A STIFFNECKED PEOPLE: LEST I CONSUME THEE IN THE WAY. Exodus 33:1-3. The Lord has finally had enough of these rebellious, stubborn and hard headed people, the Jews. If the Lord has to deal with these people even one more time, He just might wipe them all out. But in order to fulfill His Promises of taking them into the Promised Land, the Lord will send an angel to take them in. But Moses refused the Lord’s offer to SEND them in but not TAKE them into the Promised Land. Moses Interceded (he stood between their Angry God and those rebellious people), for the people and begged the Lord to forgive them. The people all together repented of their sins and rebellion and the Lord changed His Mind and said He would take them into the Promised Land. THE PEOPLE FINALLY REALIZED THAT THEY COULD HAVE EVERYTHING THEY EVER WANTED, BUT WITHOUT THE LORD IN IT, IT WOULD BE WORTHLESS. The people changed their minds, about being rebellious, and for a few moments said they would Follow the Lord into the Promised Land, BUT THEY NEVER CHANGED THEIR HEART, and very soon were just as rebellious as before. For a few moments, they recognized that something without the Lord, is really nothing at all. But that Truth soon faded, rebellion took over, and the Lord allowed all those rebellious people to die in the wilderness as He took their children, all under the age of 20, into that Promised Land flowing with milk and honey. Every rebellious person died, never really Knowing how to, Be Blessed.
