Daily Devotional. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women. Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: AND THEY WERE HEALED EVERY ONE . Acts 5:14-16. But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, AND HE HEALED THEM ALL; Matthew 12:15. Has anyone, besides me, grown up with the understanding that a person had to get saved FIRST, then, if the Lord wanted to, maybe even get a healing, IF their faith was strong enough? Do these verses blow that boat out of the water? Jesus and Peter BOTH healed people and there is NOTHING to show they all became Christians first, or even after. Yes, some, or many, came to Follow Christ, BUT NOT ALL. Being healed is an absolute Mercy and Grace of the Lord to show people that He can meet them where they are at and help them with their needs. Being healed, being fed like the 5,000, and the like is the Lord wanting to get personal and show you He is Who He says He is. NO, WE ARE NOT ENTITLED TO SEE THINGS, AND THEN TRUST CHRIST!!! We are to Trust Christ, by Faith, and then, maybe see things, or maybe not, see things. A healing for YOUR personal ailment will definitely get your attention. Whether or not that’s enough of a “proof” to get you to Follow Christ or not, that’s your call. The Witness of the Holy Spirit is all anyone is entitled to have, THAT is enough to get you saved. Everything else is gravy, (Mercy and Grace). GOD is SSSOOO GOOD, only a fool will ultimately say “NO”. But you can still “SAY YES”, and, Be Blessed.
