Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 4069

Daily Devotional. And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together AS A SCROLL: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. Isaiah 34:4. And the Heaven departed AS A SCROLL when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. Revelation 6:14. (Go easy here, it’s just a question). If the Heavens can be rolled UP like a scroll, does that mean they were rolled OUT like a scroll? A scroll has thickness to it, granted very little thickness, but it has it anyway. Here comes a big assumption. The “Heavens” here are talking about the atmosphere covering the earth, the sun, moon and stars, and ALL of space. We have sent a number of little spacecrafts to go out millions of miles into space to send back pictures of whatever they see. And they’re gorgeous. WHAT IF, the Heavens, (ALL of space) has a “thickness” to it of a billion miles. COULD IT BE POSSIBLE that one of those little spacecrafts could touch the edge of that “scroll” and send back a picture of God’s Heaven? No, nothing major, but maybe a little piece of the South 40? Now for the fun part, let’s say astronomers DO have that picture in all its Glory, WOULD THEY TELL ANYONE? Or keep it quiet under lock and key because that would prove there is a God and Heaven. Don’t poo-poo this too quickly, the whole Book of Revelation is full of the Lord Revealing Himself in various way. All this comes from the question, “What’s behind the Scroll”. God can do anything He wants to and what He does to Reveal a little more of His Glory is His call. Technology is allowing us to see things the Prophets of Old could only dream about. Is this question too far-fetched, or good food for thought? For Believers, this would only confirm what we already Know, no proof needed. But for the unbeliever, this could be another nail in their coffin of evidence against them if they don’t Follow Christ, and Eternally, Be Blessed.
