Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3807

Daily Devotional. A Friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Proverbs 17:17. A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a Friend that sticketh closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24. Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man’s Friend by Hearty Counsel. Proverbs 27:9. Iron sharpeneth iron; so a “man” (the Holy Spirit) sharpeneth the countenance of his friend, (the Believer). Proverbs 27:17. These verses are being used lightly as an illustration of the Friendship of and with the Holy Spirit. Please keep this in mind during this discussion. For many Christians, the Holy Spirit is some sort of misunderstood, vague Force to be left alone because of a lack of understanding of Who He Is and what He wants. Have you ever noticed, even the most vile sinner will curse God and Christ, by name, but they never verbally curse the Holy Spirit that way? And for GOoD reason, “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. [32] And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: BUT WHOSOEVER SPEAKETH AGAINST THE HOLY GHOST, IT SHALL NOT BE FORGIVEN HIM, NEITHER IN THIS WORLD, NEITHER IN THE WORLD TO COME”. Matthew 12:31-32. The “32” was left to show both of these verses say the same thing, because the Strength of this warning is so Severe. DON’T MESS WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. On the other hand, the Holy Spirit greatly Desires to be a Friend, a Comforter, a Teacher, “a Friend that sticketh closer than a brother” to all who will listen to Him. He is that “Voice” from the Lord warning you of a trap ahead, or guiding you through adversity. Deal with Him with Great Respect, AND WITH GREAT LOVE FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT OF THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. Ask Him to Guide and Direct you every step of the Way as you go and Grow throughout the day. He wants to Walk WITH you all day long,  that you may, Be Blessed.
