Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3740

Daily Devotional. Also, (Ezekiel) thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, AND HEAR WHAT IS THE WORD THAT COMETH FORTH FROM THE LORD.  And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee AS MY PEOPLE, and they hear thy words, BUT THEY WILL NOT DO THEM: for with their mouth they shew much love, but THEIR HEART GOETH AFTER THEIR COVETOUSNESS. And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: FOR THEY HEAR THY WORDS, BUT THEY DO THEM NOT. And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) THEN SHALL THEY KNOW THAT A PROPHET HATH BEEN AMONG THEM. Ezekiel 33:30-33. (I use 50% ONLY as an illustration, your church numbers may vary). In any church, half of the people will be pleased with the Preaching, and half will not be pleased with the Preaching. With “God-less” preaching, the goats are happy and the Sheep are unhappy. With Godly Preaching, the Sheep will be happy and the Goats will be unhappy. In the above verses of Ezekiel 33, EVERYONE is happy because the Sheep are being fed, and the Goats are happy because the Preacher is finally going to get all those “other guys” straightened out. Mix and match your numbers as you see fit. Here, the happy Goats ARE GLAD they have been Preached to by a True Prophet of God because the Preacher IS doing his job of Preaching to all those OTHER poor saps who really DO need to hear from the Lord. GENERALLY, in the church of America, even with everyone happy, “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto Life, AND FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT”. Matthew 7:14. No matter how many “Amens” the Preacher gets, the Lord still Knows exactly who His Sheep are, and He will not lose even one of His. So keep on Preaching Preacher, build numbers, or Build Christ, the Lord Knows, and HIS will, Be Blessed.
