Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3708

Daily Devotional. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: WHICH ARE A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME; but the body is of Christ. Colossians 2:16-17. There’s a lot going on here as we look at just one aspect of this. As Christians, Believers, Followers of Christ, we are to Understand that He is our Provision, our Source for EVERYTHING. Therefore, anything and everything we need during our Life here on planet Earth will be sufficiently given to us as we go about our daily activities telling people of the Christ Who wants to be their Lord and Savior. This means we are not to get tangled up Coveting, Desiring and going after more than we need. If you’ll accept what Christ provides as enough, you’ll have no need, OR WANT, for more “stuff”. To be Content in Christ is just that, TO BE CONTENT. Here’s the point, ALL that Christ has Provided here on planet Earth is but a shadow of the Things to Come when we get to Heaven. As an illustration, don’t settle for cheap trinkets from the Carnival when someone wants to buy you a beautiful diamond ring at a really nice jewelry store. Why settle for crackers when a sumptuous Feast is waiting on you. Don’t be looking at “Shadows” when the real Deal is just around the corner. Yes, enjoy the things of this life as Provision, AS YOU KEEP YOUR EYES ON CHRIST, YOUR INHERITANCE. We’re only “passing through” on our way to Heaven, so Enjoy His PROVIDED Blessings now, as you prepare for an Inheritance you can barely Dream of, later. That’s why this is called a Life of Faith, we have “little” now, with the Promise of GREAT, later. Think on this, your understanding of Christ now, is but a Shadow of the Reality of Christ, later. Our little 3-pound brains can’t even START to Comprehend all that Christ is, and has for us, later. Grow in Holiness, Righteousness, Purity and Patience in all you see and do here and now, (Shadows), as you prepare FOR CHRIST, (Things to come), and, Be Blessed.
