Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3683

Daily Devotional. And Jesus being FULL OF THE HOLY GHOST returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, BEING FORTY DAYS TEMPTED OF THE DEVIL. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. Luke 4:1-2. Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our Faith; who FOR THE JOY THAT WAS SET BEFORE HIM endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the Right Hand of the Throne of God. Hebrews 12:2. Two times Satan thought he could be victorious over Christ, and both times he was wrong. The first time was the 40 days in the wilderness. “Surely Jesus would slip up, even just once, just a little, after all, HE’S ONLY A Man”. Nope, not any, not even the tiniest hint of slipping up. “OK, try again, if I can’t get Him to worship me, I’ll kill Him and take His place”. Here’s a great example of Self Deception. If Satan could kill Christ, all his troubles would be over. He spent three and a half years plotting Jesus’s death, AND hE SUCCEEDED, hE KILLED CHRIST!!! hE FINALLY BEAT THE SON OF GOD. The Throne would be his. That’s delusional thinking. The Truth is, Christ Knew and FULLY Understood that His Death on the cross of Calvary would mean total Salvation would be available to ALL the world, and would be Freely Given to all who would ask. (Just ASK, and it’s yours). To bring this Gift of Salvation to mankind was an Overwhelming Joy that Christ Greatly looked forward to. This was His Mission for coming to earth and the Victory was His. Just a few more days and He could say, “IT IS FINISHED”. The Joy of soon completing His Mission WAS NOT DAMPENED OR DEPLETED BY THE THOUGHT OF HIS BEING CRUCIFIED ON THE CROSS. The physical pain of crucifixion didn’t even count when compared to the Joy of Salvation for man. The JOY of Gladly Obeying the Father in ALL He asked. Will you Walk IN THAT SAME JOY TODAY as you also Obey the Father and Minister The Word to a lost and dying world, WITH NO FEAR OF DEATH, that you AND THEY may, Be BLESSED?
