Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3656

Daily Devotional. The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and THERE IS NO NEW THING UNDER THE SUN. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after. I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, ALL IS VANITY AND VEXATION OF SPIRIT. That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered. Ecclesiastes 1:9-11,14-15. Man, in his great wisdom, says he’s going to do everything he has been doing yesterday, and continue to get the same results, yet by doing the same thing again tomorrow, the results will be different, only because it’s “tomorrow”. Man’s wisdom says, “I’ve done the same thing 50 times in the past, had the same results 50 times the same, BUT TOMORROW THAT THING I’VE BEEN DOING WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT RESULT ONLY BECAUSE, IT’S TOMORROW”. The crowning moment of this foolish thinking is found on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day when magically, THE RESULTS WILL BE DIFFERENT BECAUSE I SAY SO. Man is awash in Sin and Deception and actually believes he has the power to change himself into something better, ALL BY HIMSELF. In this scenario it usually takes a few days to a few weeks to fall flat on your face with all the New Year’s Resolutions we’ve made. WITHOUT CHRIST, NOTHING WILL CHANGE, no matter how hard you close your eyes and repeat, “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can…”. Only by seeing your sins through the Eyes of Christ, falling under Repentance unto Salvation, and asking Christ, Whom you have Greatly Offended, to totally and completely Forgive you, can you have a New Heart and New Real Hope in Christ. It is Christ Himself Who will change you in His Time and on His Schedule. HE will Grow you into CHRISTLIKENESS and YOU WILL, Be Blessed.
