Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3630

Daily Devotional. Now therefore FEAR THE LORD, and SERVE HIM in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and SERVE YE THE LORD. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye WILL serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD. Joshua 24:14-15. The following (poor) illustration is a representation of the Lord God Almighty, the Lord Jesus Christ, and last and least, Satan. Imagine, you live in a neighborhood with a cowardly Bully trying to create great mischief. You have a very Prominent well respected Father Figure hearing, and seeing, the complaints about The Bully. Father sends his Son to legally deal with the Bully and put him, (Bully), in his place. Bully has now been soundly Defeated and has absolutely no authority to do anything. All he can try to do is sneak around whispering lies and untruths to anyone he thinks might listen. Some people of the neighborhood know that the mere mention of the Sons Name is enough to chase off the Bully. But many residents didn’t get the email and still live-in fear of, The Bully. Father allows The Bully to stay in the neighborhood because He knows He can use Bully and his tactics to actually show the people they have no reason to fear Bully. Many learn to recognize Bully and his tactics and Grow Fearless when Bully shows up, immediately sending Bully down the road. They learn so well that other bullies from elsewhere are quickly recognized and sent packing. Father could have “killed” Bully, but found it much more productive to keep Bully around, and teach the people Victorious Fearlessness towards any and all Bullies. SATAN HAS ABSOLUTELY BEEN SOUNDLY DEFEATED BY THE SON AND HAS NO AUTHORITY WHATSOEVER OVER ANYONE WHO WALKS WITH THE SON. They Know, that In The Son, they WILL, Be Blessed.
