Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3600

Daily Devotional. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, LET US LAY ASIDE EVERY WEIGHT, AND THE SIN WHICH DOTH SO EASILY BESET US, and let us run with patience the Race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our Faith; Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the Right Hand of the Throne of God. For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. YE HAVE NOT YET RESISTED UNTO BLOOD, STRIVING AGAINST SIN. Hebrews 12:1-4. As we move through this thing called Life, going from Victory to Victory, the Lord allows us to see some sin hiding in our Heart that needs to be dealt with and removed. It’s not easy and it’s never “fun” to deal with, but what a Joy when another one is gone. Christ Himself, as our Perfect Example to us AND so great a cloud of Witnesses, has shown that any sin, ALL sin, and every sin, can and needs to be dealt with and made to go. We do NOT have permission to “remove” sin only to a point where now it’s REALLY getting hard, let’s ease up a little and deal with this harder sin, later. Later may never come. It gets rough when today is the day to attack this (whatever) sin we’re trying to avoid. Christ is saying, “Today is the day to dig in your heels, call a halt to this stubborn besetting sin, and I’ll help you get rid of it. Even if it costs you great mental anguish, or physical discomfort unto even the shedding of blood, it’s OK, I’ve been there, and done that, I’M RIGHT HERE WITH YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY “. Even when it costs you EVERYTHING, “Deny Christ right now or we’ll kill you on the spot”, don’t give in to this one last hard sin (of denying Christ), STAND STRONG IN CHRIST, BE FAITHFUL AND DIE IN THE PEACE THAT PASSES UNDERSTANDING. Little sin, big sin, sin is sin and it ALL has to go. Some are easy, some are hard, but do this, and you will ETERNALLY, Be Blessed.
