Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3470

Daily Devotional. And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat. Now therefore Fear the Lord, and Serve Him in Sincerity and in Truth: and put away the (false) gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye WILL serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:13- 15. Generally, if you were born in America, raised in a house, with a family around you, you probably learned the ways, means, methods and requirements of “the Culture” you grew up in. This isn’t about what was right or wrong with this, functional or otherwise, just that, you learned the culture around you. What the Lord is trying to do to His people today is teach them His ways, means, methods and requirements to Live in His VERY Functional “Culture” pleasing to Him for now, AND all your Eternity. He has Ways for how we should conduct ourselves in His House, how He wants us to deal with all kinds of people, and how He wants us to contend with each and every situation we come across. There are daily lessons, tests to pass, and Great Rewards as we move closer to the Goal He has for us to attain to. We grew up in OUR culture, He wants us to Fully Embrace and be totally Infused with HIS Culture 24/7/365. And His Culture will help us deal with the old remnants of our previous, original culture. “Out with the old, in with the new”. He wrote The Book on Culture, His and ours. His will last for Eternity, ours will only last for a fleeting moment, like a flash in the pan. Without His Culture, we then go, “from the frying pan into the fire”. Learn EVERYTHING about Christ and His Culture, and you will Eternally, Be Blessed.
