Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3454

Daily Devotional. And when Hezekiah, (good guy), saw that Sennacherib, (bad guy), was come, and that he (Sennacherib), was purposed to fight against Jerusalem, And he, (Hezekiah), set captains of war over the people, and gathered them together to him in the street of the gate of the city, and spake comfortably to them, saying, BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS, BE NOT AFRAID NOR DISMAYED for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: FOR THERE BE MORE WITH US THAN WITH HIM: With him is an arm of flesh; but WITH US IS THE LORD OUR GOD to help us, and to fight our battles. AND THE PEOPLE RESTED THEMSELVES (with no worry or concern about their great enemy), upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. And the Lord sent an angel, which cut off all (185,000 of) the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he, (Sennacherib) returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they, (his own sons), that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword. Thus the Lord saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all other, and guided them on every side. 2 Chronicles 32:2,6-8,21-22. King  Hezekiah saw the formidable army of the enemy, all 185,000 fighting men of valour, surround his city AND BLASPHEME THE GOD OF ISRAEL. Yes, Hezekiah got his little army in order, AND WENT STRAIGHT TO THE GOD OF ISRAEL FOR HELP, making this physical battle a Spiritual Battle that Sennacherib didn’t understand, nor could he fight. The Lord sent an angel one night and slew all 185,000 enemy fighters. Believers, PRAISE THE LORD AT ALL TIMES AND FOR ALL THINGS, and give Him all your concerns AND battles. When The Lord fights for you, just rest in Him, ESPECIALLY IN THE FACE OF CERTAIN DEFEAT. If King Hezekiah, his army and all his people can rest in the Lord when surrounded by 185,000 warriors, SO CAN YOU. Praise Him, and, Be Blessed.
