Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3446

Daily Devotional. And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, DESPISE NOT thou THE CHASTENING of the Lord, NOR FAINT WHEN thou art REBUKED of Him: For whom the Lord loveth he Chasteneth, and Scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure Chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, WHEREOF ALL ARE PARTAKERS, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them Reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of Spirits, and Live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but He for our profit, that we might be partakers of HIS HOLINESS. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the Peaceable Fruit of Righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Follow Peace with all men, and Holiness, without which NO MAN SHALL SEE THE LORD: Hebrews 12:5-11,14. We all know that surgery, a root canal, and chastening, chastisement and correction are no fun. But when they’re all done, the results bring a Peace and Joy we didn’t have before. When it comes to the Lord and His Correcting us, as soon as you know that there’s some kind of Problem, that’s the Best Time to run to the Lord and ask Him to go to work on it. When a Problem, like a weed growing, even starts to show its head, that’s the time to rip it out by the roots, before it becomes intertwined and entangled with delicate and crucial parts of your life. God, the Great Physician, can always fix any problem you have, but the sooner you take it to Him, the less “pain” there is to fix it properly. To grow in Holiness is always easier when the removal of the “unholy” thing is just getting started. And even Better, ask the Lord TODAY to work on those “unholy” things not yet known by you in your Life, and you Both, will, Be Blessed.
