Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3398

Daily Devotional. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I WILL SEND A FAMINE in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but OF HEARING THE WORDS OF THE LORD: AND THEY shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and SHALL NOT FIND IT. Amos 8:11-12. If there was ever a day and a time when the Word of God was not being preached, it must be today. The Lord Jesus Christ is the ONLY True Standard of Right and wrong, and without Him, without His Gospel, without His Word, there is no standard to anchor on to. Once you get Christ out of the picture, out of the Way, where His Way is no longer THE WAY, than ANY way becomes a way to follow, AND EVERY MAN BECOMES A LAW UNTO THEMSELVES. Even today, in America, every one of our denominations has become a law unto itself. Each denomination sets up its own rules and regulations for how its followers are to follow their own made up christ. Church discipline becomes whatever the powers that be decide it should be. People go to and fro, from the east to the west, looking for a denomination that agrees with THEIR values of right and wrong. They seek out Conferences with the big name speakers that teach what THEY want to hear. And when a congregation loses sight of Christ, they, by default, become Christless, AND WHEN CHRIST-LESS PEOPLE ENTER INTO POLITICS, YOU END UP WITH A CHRIST-LESS GOVERNMENT. Without Christ, there is no right and wrong, so you get to bring in YOUR version of right and wrong THAT SOUNDS GOOD TO YOUR FOLLOWERS. It’s very easy for both politicians AND preachers to tell the people what THEY want to hear, to tickle their ears, and become very popular people. Today, a truly Godly, Faithful, Preacher of The Word, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, has a very small following of likeminded Faithful Followers of THE Lord and Saviour, Jesus The Christ. If you have one of them in your church, PRAY FOR HIM UNCEASINGLY, and, Be Blessed.
