Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3394

Daily Devotional. And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of A CERTAIN RICH MAN brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, WHAT SHALL I DO, because I HAVE no room where to bestow MY FRUITS? And he said, This will I DO: I WILL pull down MY BARNS, and build greater; and there WILL I bestow all MY FRUITS and MY GOODS. And I WILL say to MY SOUL, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? SO IS HE THAT LAYETH UP TREASURE FOR HIMSELF, AND is NOT rich TOWARD GOD. Luke 12:16-21. This rich man was right to ask, “What shall I do”, but instantly lost out when he replied to himself, “This will I do”. He never posed his question TO THE LORD, he only asked and answered to himself. There’s nothing wrong with being greatly Blessed of the Lord, the problem starts with an attitude of, “Its all mine, I earned it and I’ll keep it, IT’S ALL MINE”. “And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! Luke 18:18,22-24. Again, Christ is hitting against the, “IT’S ALL MINE” attitude. Yes, a few rich men will go to Heaven, because they understand that all they have, BELONGS TO THE LORD, and He can do with His Stuff whatever He wants. Do you have “riches” and do with them AS UNTO THE LORD, or do riches have you and in your life, the Lord is nowhere to be found? Of even the stuff YOU have, can the Lord say, “Sell all”, and you do, “Yes Sir”, and you, Be Blessed?
