Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3381

Daily Devotional. Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and OTHERS WERE TORTURED, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: And others had TRIAL of cruel MOCKINGS and SCOURINGS, yea, moreover of BONDS and IMPRISONMENT: They were STONED, they were SAWN ASUNDER, were TEMPTED, were SLAIN with the sword: they WANDERED about in sheepskins and goatskins; being DESTITUTE, AFFLICTED, TORMENTED; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they WANDERED in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And these ALL, having OBTAINED A GOOD REPORT through faith, received not the Promise: Hebrews 11:33-39. Whether people lived in the time before Christ, or after Christ, all Believers will receive the Promise OF Christ. That being said, all the Believers written above, were all eventually blessed WITH Christ. As you can see, none of them believed or lived the so called “Prosperity gospel” like we see today. Some lived very Blessed and Prosperous lives UNTO CHRIST. Others received torture and death for their commitment to a Life OF Christ. Here’s my point, all Believers, fitting properly into the Body of Christ, all have different callings, different “roads” to travel, different end “results”, but all in the same Christ. Christ “Built” you and knows just how much of the “good” and “bad” of Life you can handle. Paul suffered in ways many Christians aren’t called to suffer. They have other “jobs” in Christ. Some are called to “Martyrdom” and don’t even flinch at the thought. Some are called to Pray for those headed for Martyrdom. Either Way, ALL are called to Christ and will deal with the Things of this Life in Joyful Obedience into and unto Christ. They will GREATLY, Be Blessed.
