Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 3365

Daily Devotional. Daily Devotional. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, IT IS EASIER FOR A CAMEL TO GO THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE, THAN FOR A RICH MAN TO ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:23-26. The first thing that needs to be understood here is that there is no little gate in the city wall called “the eye of the needle”, that a camel could go through if he was unloaded of his burden and crawled in on his knees. No such place. The Lord IS saying that yes, a camel could physically be forced through the eye of a common sewing needle, in VERY small pieces, and yes, it is also possible for a rich man to enter into Heaven. But both of these events rarely happen. The rich man GENERALLY is in love with his money and Christ would take a distant second place. We all know THAT isn’t going to happen. If a “rich man”, a man rich in worldly stuff, meets Christ AND BECOMES A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST, his love of money vanishes and his new Love for and of Christ grows over everything else. The “rich man” is now a poor man with no cares about money, or any other worldly stuff. His priorities are in order and he’s on his way to Heaven. The camel is physical. The young rich man is of the spirit as he drops the physical (love of money) to embrace the spiritual (Love of Christ). Many people Rich in Christ have lots of worldly stuff, but it means nothing to them and they would quickly cast it all aside if Christ asked them to. Follow Christ, and He’ll take care of all the Worldly stuff. Follow Christ, and, Be Blessed.
